The fight against climate change is everyone's business. That of States, of course, but whatever measures are taken, nothing will really be possible without the mobilization and the initiatives of non-state actors, who have a decisive role to play. We need very active NGOs. With this call, France wants to encourage them to present and carry out concrete, ambitious and sustainable projects, accompanied by roadmaps with implementation deadlines.

France advocates a virtuous and effective participation process. France is very attached to the environmental dialogue, which must be at the heart of the social contract called for by the ecological and solidarity transition. This dialogue enlightens and favors major choices and decisions, to collectively build a new model of development, fairer and more sustainable. Significant legislative provisions have been enacted in recent months in France to broaden public participation and environmental dialogue in the development of public policies with an impact on the environment. Their goal is to enable a more efficient, legitimate, but also more operational decision-making process.

With this call, France wants to strenghten existing partnerships or to mobilize new ones, give them visibility in order to promote initiatives towards resilient and low-carbon societies.

There is no second planet and just one choice: we must act quickly!
